2016 Chat with Siri

Smart Phones have been becoming our expanded sensory organs. Although the program of intelligent voice assistant is still in its infant stage, it is gradually converting smart phones into "human beings". The voice interaction is becoming the most appealing function of smart phone. By taking advantage of differernt sensors of a smart phone, artificial intelligent program owns a channel to sense the world our bodies existed; the virtue space—internet has never maintain such close distance to the space where our bodies are located. Video as the electrical signal based medium could not only watch the world through the optical lens from outside, it also offer an inner view of our mind and the virtue space—internet by means of the digital data. The simple and interesting answers the author heard from Siri as a beam of light, which warms the heart of a human who is exploring the dark and cold outerspace alone. This short video records the conversation between the Apple Intelligent voice program -Siri and the author.

The Greek philosophers, such as Scorates and Plato, intend to find the essence of various phenomena via reasoning and debating, whereas Aristotle focuses on converting macro philosophical questions into certain disciplines including logic,mathematics and natural sciences, which can be verified through quantitative analyses. His study influences numerous scholars and promotes science development in Europe.About the same time(during 300-400 BC),Qu Yuan,a Chinese poet and minister addresses a series of amazing questions in his book "Tian Wen(Questions to Heaven)", although those questions have never get answered due to the deficiency of the method to reach the knowledge. Ruism(Confucianism), Daoism(Taoism) and Faism(Legalism)are based on the opinions of Chinese sages(leading philosophers) rahter than a method for publics to find the knowledge by themselves.Even the philosophers of the Moism inaugurate the research on finding the law of nature.Unfortunately,they are marginalized by either the philosophers of Ruism or Faism, which are more "valuable" for Chinese feudal monarchy. Consequently,the science and technology of China are gradually lagged behind Europe.Reasoning and logic are the keys.Today, the artificial intelligence programs are becoming more intelligent from learning the logic from human to solve a problem. In the era of artificial intelligence, programs become intelligent by learning people's logic when dealing with problems. The author hopes that through the questions he raised, the logic of the current artificial intelligence program can be revealed, and a historical archive can be preserved in the form of video.
