2012-2013 Speaker Experiment

The Heartbeat Speaker is composed of a sheet of aluminum foil, a thin copper wire and a neodymium magnet ball, which plays the sound of heartbeat. The Maze Speaker experiments with the possibility of random reading of graphic and sound translations. The pattern of the maze was drawn by the author and manually bent into shape by using of copper wire. The pattern was then transformed into sound through software and the sound of the pattern was played by placing a neodymium magnet ball held by the audience close to the copper coil. The third speaker installation entitled ‘Tornado’ was unable to complete its complete form due to smoke alarms and legal policies in the American gallery, and only a self-made speaker unit in a telescopic tube more than 20 meters long was displayed. The unit plays the sound of conversations recorded next to the author's studio with a fake wall divided. The original installation consisted of dozens of speaker units in telescopic tubes, playing several different recordings simultaneously.
